Thatches is an AA Highly Recommended self-catering resort with accommodation in nine thatch-roof cottages and apartments in the heart of Kei Mouth on the Wild Coast.

Accommodation

Nine thatch-roof cottages and apartments include two-bedroom units with one double and two singles, optional double bunks for up to six guests and open-plan kitchenettes and TV lounges. The penthouse has two en-suite double bedrooms, indoor braai, large kitchen and separate scullery, dining area, lounge and study.

Facilities

Resort facilities include braai areas, lapa, swimming pool, lounge, daily housekeeping, tea and coffee and DSTV. The Yard lifestyle hub on site has The Yardarm restaurant, laundromat, children's play area and bicycle rentals. All bookings include 10% discount voucher for meals at The Yard. Breakfast costs R150 per person.

Location & Surroundings

Thatches is in the heart of Kei Mouth on the Wild Coast, a short walk from safe beaches and the Kei River estuary. Double Mouth Nature Reserve is a short drive away. Direct access to hiking trails, fishing, kayaking, horse riding, Morgan Bay cliffs and Kei River ferry crossings.
