Umkumbe Bush Lodge is a luxury tented accommodation in Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Family-owned since 1937, it offers modern amenities, three daily meals, and twice-daily safari game drives.

Meru-style tented suites in four categories: Standard, Luxury, Superior, and Superior Honeymoon. All feature modern hotel-like amenities. Accommodations offer dramatic views of drainage basins, watering holes, and open plains, with wildlife sounds including hyenas audible from tents.

Facilities

Facilities include a boma, treehouse deck, dining lounge, and pool. Three meals daily are included, with evening entertainment from local singers.

Location & Surroundings

Sabi Sands Game Reserve is in the Greater Kruger area, where guests encounter the Big Five and other wildlife. The lodge is accessible via nearby airports: Skukuza, Kruger Mpumalanga International, and Hoedspruit, with quick flights from Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Durban.
