Hluhluwe River Lodge is four-star intimate forest lodge accommodation with sweeping views over False Bay, southern Lake St Lucia, and the river floodplain.

Accommodation

Honeymoon suites are thatched open-plan chalets with king bed, mosquito net, and large deck. Family chalets sleep parents plus two children. Eight standard chalets sleep two adults on stilts with queen beds and wooden decks. Self-catering Mkhulu's House and Santa Rosa Home offer en suite rooms.

Facilities

Main lodge has a dining room, bar, lounge, expansive terrace, and grassed courtyard. Facilities include reception, indoor and outdoor dining, a swimming pool, and the Errol Harrison Museum of local history, open to guests.

Location & Surroundings

Overlooks False Bay and the river floodplain, a base for Hluhluwe’s game reserves. Memorial Gate to Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park is about 20 minutes or 30 km. Day trips include Sodwana Bay, Cape Vidal, and St Lucia Village. Durban is about 250 km.
