The village is quiet, and Mukti is located on the quieter western side of it too, watched over by the towering Compassberg. ‘Mukti’ is Sanskrit for spiritual liberation. We have always wanted a soulful, peaceful space where we can go to clear our minds and hearts and we found our little paradise in Nieu-Bethesda. The property was renovated extensively, whilst paying respect to the heritage and character of the home. The interiors have been beautifully curated and designed, with top quality bedding and utilities. The home is air-conditioned and contains 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, a mountain view and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is a twin room, and also has an en-suite. The home has a well-equipped kitchen with Smeg appliances and an original Dover stove. Enjoy dining on the raw wood dining table in the kitchen. The lounge area has a fireplace for cosy winter night’s and there is a library to curl up with a good book. Outside, there is a covered verandah with comfortable sofas and an outdoor dining table. The home has a swimming pool which replicates a small Karoo farm dam and sun loungers for relaxing. There is also a firepit with seating to enjoy the stargazing. High speed internet access is available should you need to work.
